Kent Little League Baseball and Softball

WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF
KENT LITTLE LEAGUE

THE MISSION OF LITTLE LEAGUE:
Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists children in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball and Softball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

Kent Little League is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe, instructional and fun environment for the children of Kent and Covington, Washington, ages 4-16. Chartered under the umbrella of Little League International, Inc, and Little League District 10 of Washington State, we share a mission to "to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball and Softball.”

For over 30 years, Kent Little League has been an anchor of the Kent and Covington communities. Our non-profit all volunteer organization operates as an all-volunteer program. We rely on the support  and volunteer hours from our network of families, local businesses, corporate and community sponsors. Through this outpouring of support, Kent Little League continues this tradition and mission so that more than 300 boys and girls, ages 4-16, in baseball and softball programs can play every season.

Tee Ball players hit a modified ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching at this level. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Rosters may be composed of between 10 and 12 players. No kid-pitching is permitted in this division.

PLAYERS NEED TO BE FOUR YEARS OF AGE BY APRIL 30, 2017. NO EXCEPTIONS.Players may not advance to the Single A divison unless they are 7, or are 6 with one prior year of Tee Ball.
