Thank you for your willingness to work with Kent Little League as an Umpire for youth baseball and softball. The following is information and answers to FAQ. Have a great season!

  • Youth umpires are compensated between $15-$35 per game and get a free post-game meal from the Snack Shack.
  • Checks are mailed every 2 weeks for games worked. We have an updated accounting and distribution process in place.
  • Adult umpires cannot be compensated, but are very much appreciated by parents and players, and are treated to a free meal from the Snack Shack after their game.
  • Umpires must go through training. There will be umpire training for every Spring season.
  • Youth umpires earn more money per game as they increase their skills and experience.
  • If you are a beginning umpire you must attend at least one of the KLL training nights, but are encouraged to attend both. If you are a returning umpire, you are encouraged to attend at least one of the training.
  • Remember, attending the training sessions can increase your per game compensation.
  • If you have any questions, please contact the Umpire Director.

All Umpires MUST fill out the Umpire Waiver Form.

We will be holding an adult volunteer umpire training class this Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at Ryan Brunner. You will be trained to umpire a game, from the field and behind the plate. Please come and help support your team by learning how to umpire a game. This class is open to all. Please bring your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, anyone you know that might like to volunteer an hour or so to support these young athletes.
