We would like to thank all the parents for contributing to the auction baskets. They all look great, we couldn't do this without you. For a preview of some of the auction baskets click here. However......our jobs are not yet done. It was brought to the attention of the board that our lease for Ryan Brunner Ball Fields is up in Oct. 2007. We are currently working with the school district to get the lease renewed, but it looks like it will be renewed at a considerably higher rate. We have also heard rumors that the leased land at CCF may also disappear sometime between 2009-2013. We are putting on this Auction/Fundraiser, in honor of all the current and future Kent Little League Players. We are working very hard to make this a success, and to provide fields for these kids to play on. Our GOAL is to sell 1 ticket per player, that would be over 550 tickets. This could be to you and/or your spouse, if you are unable to attend, ask a neighbor, friends, co-workers, or just about anyone if they would like to attend. It doesn't seem like much, if we all work together, to make this night a success. The auction is set for June 9, 2007. The doors will open at 4 p.m. at the Silver Dollar Casino, (3100 E. Valley Rd., Renton). The main event will be the Live/Silent Auction and the Texas Hold'em Tournament. Starting at 5 p.m. the company we are working with will provide people to teach you how to play if you don't know, and the tournament will officially start at 6 p.m. Click here for some answers to some of the questions we have been asked. We are also planning some other entertainment for those that don't want to play. We are planning on having music, possibly karoke, and bunko. Dinner will also be provided. The GRAND PRIZE for the winner of the Texas Hold'em Tournament is a vacation voucher for up to $2500, to fly a family of 4 anywhere. If you have any questions, or if you would like to donate something for this event, contact Mike. |
