Game 1: 6/15/2007 The 9/10 yr old All Stars started the District 10 tournament off on the right foot by beating Bonney Lake/Sumner 10-4 Friday night. Kent started off hot in the 1st inning with back to back doubles by Kramer Sims and Kade Kryzsko followed by a RBI single off the bat of Jordan Mullikin. In the bottom half of the 1st Andrew Spring made a great play at third throwing out the runner at first and then hustling back to third to receive a perfect throw from Jake Roes to pick off the runner trying to advance. Kade Kryzsko cruised thru 3 1/3 innings on the mound followed by Kramer Sims for 2 1/3 and Chandler Arends came in to get a ground ball to 2nd baseman Mike Ciancio to end the game. The Kent team had solid defense for most of the game including a nice play by Jordan Jones at 3rd base and 2 diving catches, one by catcher Kyle Steckler on a foul ball, as well as one in CF by Jordan Mullikin in the bottom of the 6th. The 9/10’s will play again Saturday morning at 10:00am against Steel Lake. |

Game 2: 6/16/2007 Kent followed up last night’s win with another this morning 12-2 over Steel Lake. The potent Kent offense batted thru the lineup in the 1st inning to set the tone for the game. Brendan Collins, Kramer Sims, and Kade Kryzsko were a combined 8 for 8 including a 3 run HR by Kade Kryzsko in the bottom of the 3rd over the CF fence. Chandler Arends came in to relieve Jordan Mullikin on the mound in the 2nd inning with the bases loaded and threw 1 pitch to get a 6-4-3 double play to end the inning, and then pitched the final 2 innings to secure the win for Kent. The hot 9/10’s will play Soundview on Sunday morning at 10:00am. |

Game 3: 6/17/2007 The 9/10’s continued to stay hot early again today in their 11-0 win over Soundview. Once again Kent sent 10 batters to the plate in the 1st inning scoring 6 runs and shocking the Soundview team with their power and speed on the bases. Kramer Sims and Kade Kryzsko remained on fire at the plate each going 2-2 and a walk, Mike Ciancio also went 2-2 with a triple and 3 RBI. Kramer Sims pitched a 1 hitter and was backed up by stellar defensive plays by Mike Ciancio at 2B and a diving catch in CF by Jordan Mullikin to end the 1st inning. Kent will face Federal Way National on Tuesday night at 6:00pm; the winner will advance to the District 10 Championship Game. |
