The Little League All-Star tournament is a competitive post-season competition where All-Star teams from each league compete for a District Championship. It is an opportunity for a higher level of play and competition within the regional Little League system. At the end of the regular season, a select group of coaches and players will be chosen to represent Kent in the regional all stars tournament, the first step towards entering the Little League International Tournament, the most widely known youth sports tournament in the world. The tournaments start at the double-elimination District tournament, and teams must win their way to advance through the International Tournament. The 8 to 11 year old tournaments culminate at the State Level, while the Majors and Junior divisions all conclude at a World Series Tournament. More information on the International Little League Tournament can be found here.
To participate as an All-Star you must: be ages 8–14 (Little League age), have participated in the Spring 2025 season, have played in at least 8 games this spring, and have met boundary requirements for Kent Little League. 8-year olds must have played in AAA baseball or Minors A softball in regular season, or to have been nominated by their coach if they played AA baseball and Minors B softball.
The first step to becoming an All-Star is to register your interest for All-Stars Evaluations to be held May 18th. There is no fee to register to try out. The All-Star teams will be named after the completion of evaluations. If selected, you will be placed on a team and required to pay the $150 registration fee.
Commitment expectations include up to five practices per week leading up to the tournament. Practices begin immediately after the regular season ends.
